Vaccinated Visitors to Korea Exempt from Quarantine Starting April 1

Starting from April 1, 2022, vaccinated travelers who have completed vaccination overseas AND register their vaccination history through the Quarantine COVID19 Defence (Q-Code) system BEFORE traveling to Korea will be eligible for quarantine exemption. Vaccination is considered to be complete 14 days after the 2nd shot for a two-dose vaccine (valid up to 180 days) or with booster shots.

Some exceptions to the above policies may apply. Please direct any questions regarding Korean entry and quarantine requirements to your nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate. 

Covid testing: All international arrivals to Korea are required to provide a negative PCR test certificate. The test must have been taken within the 48 hours prior to departure.

Visa requirements: Eligible travelers can enter South Korea as a tourist for up to 90 days without a visa, but you must be in possession of a Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA).? You can complete your K-ETA application up to 24 hours before boarding your flight and it will be valid for two years from the date of approval.
